How We Keep Spirit Science a Safe, Respectful Space for All
We believe in fostering a community where diverse perspectives are welcomed, but where discourse remains grounded in evidence, respect, and alignment with our core mission: bridging spirituality and verifiable science.
Our moderation approach is transparent, fair, and community-driven. We encourage members to help maintain the integrity of our space while protecting against spam, misinformation, and disruptive behavior.
✓ Respectful Discourse
Disagree thoughtfully. Challenge ideas, not people. Personal attacks, harassment, or hate speech are not tolerated.
✓ Evidence-Based Contributions
Support claims with sources, research, or logical reasoning. Distinguish between speculation and established knowledge.
✓ On-Topic Participation
Keep discussions aligned with the forum category and Spirit Science mission. Avoid spam, promotional content, or unrelated topics.
✓ No Misinformation
Do not deliberately spread false information. If corrected, acknowledge and learn. Honest mistakes are part of growth.
✓ Inclusive Language
Use language that welcomes all seekers. Avoid slurs, discriminatory language, or exclusionary rhetoric.
If you encounter content that violates our community standards, you can flag it for admin review. Here's how:
1. Find the Post or Reply
Locate the content you believe violates our standards.
2. Click the Flag Icon
Look for the flag icon on the post or reply. Click it to open the flagging form.
3. Select a Reason
Choose from: Spam, Off-Topic, Offensive, Misinformation, or Other. Be specific in your description.
4. Submit Your Report
Admins will review your report and take appropriate action. Thank you for helping keep our community safe!
We believe in giving members a chance to improve. Our moderation follows a progressive approach:
⚠️ First Warning
For minor violations, you'll receive a warning via email. This is an opportunity to reflect and adjust your behavior.
⚠️ Second Warning
Repeated violations result in a second warning. At this point, your account is at risk of suspension.
🚫 Temporary or Permanent Ban
After two warnings, or for severe violations (hate speech, harassment, spam), your account may be temporarily suspended or permanently banned.
If you believe a moderation action was unfair, you can appeal. Please send a respectful message to our admin team explaining your perspective. We review all appeals and are open to reconsidering decisions if new context is provided.

Our admins are held to the same standards as community members. We:
- ✓ Document all moderation actions with clear reasons
- ✓ Review flagged content within 48 hours
- ✓ Provide explanations for bans and warnings
- ✓ Recuse ourselves from decisions involving personal conflicts
- ✓ Regularly review our moderation policies for fairness
